Our courses are offered at different levels based on both the student’s age and level.
Class size: Average 8, maximum 12.
Session length: 1.5 hrs per session, 1 hr for children below 4 years.
In a happy atmosphere Mandarin is taught to the children through play, using a wide variety of stimulating language activities. The lessons are planned around a diversity of themes and projects which are practical, interesting and great FUN!
LESSONS
The lessons have a structured routine which allows the children to feel at ease and confident to interact in Mandarin. Children are taught by a team of specifically trained and experienced native Mandarin speaking teachers who are dynamic, caring and passionate about teaching.
LCA Baby & Toddler Mandarin (1- 2 yrs)
LCA Baby & Toddler Mandarin is designed for infants, from as young as one year. Parents or caretakers participate in the course with their children, learning not only Mandarin songs, rhymes and activities, but also enjoying bonding and developmental activities and understanding.
LCA Little Stars Mandarin (2-3.5 yrs)
Numerous modern scientific studies have demonstrated that the best time to develop young children’s potentials is at the age between 0-6. During this period, kids can acquire a new language faster and easier. Every kid can possibly form up two speech centers. However, if kids do not receive any stimulation of other language signal at their critical learning age, then the other speech nerve center will never be activated.
Interacting in Mandarin, our LCA Little Stars kids are led through different fun workshops such as Songs, rhymes, dances, sensorial activities, puppets…which are especially adapted to the language development of this age group.
LCA Shooting Stars Mandarin (4-6 years old)
LCA Shooring Stars course centers upon familiarising young students with Mandarin through a combination of songs, lessons and games to help build both confidence and interest in learning the new language.
LCA Future Stars Mandarin (7 to 10 years old)
LCA Future Stars course focuses on providing our students with regular exposure to Mandarin at this critical age, with special emphasis on pronunciation, reading & writing. Our program uses specially designed, customised materials to cover the fundamentals and instill in children the confidence and ability to speak Mandarin naturally.
LCA Fly High Mandarin (11-14 years old)
LCA Fly High students receive Mandarin training tailored to their capabilities, as well as periodic tests and a presentation given during the course. Through our customized curriculum and materials, students cover speaking, reading, writing and listening and target Mandarin GCSE.
