LCA Mandarin Performing Arts Trial Class LCA中文戏剧表演体验课

Where Mandarin Comes Alive

Give your child the opportunity to experience Mandarin through drama, movement, music and imaginative storytelling.

Designed especially for children aged 4–7, LCA Mandarin Performing Arts is not a traditional sit-down language lesson. Children step inside a story, become different characters, sing, move, respond to Mandarin instructions and create simple scenes together.

Led by a professional drama teacher and supported by LCA’s child-centred Mandarin learning approach, the class helps children develop language confidence while also building creativity, communication, concentration and self-expression.

What Happens in the Class?

Each 90-minute session follows three engaging stages:

• Move & Feel
Children explore Mandarin through movement, drama games, facial expressions and physical storytelling.
• Listen, Speak & Sing
Songs, rhythm, character voices and playful repetition help children understand and use key Mandarin words and phrases.
• Create, Imagine & Perform
Children use role-play and interactive storytelling to become part of the story and create simple scenes together.

Each term follows one imaginative theme, with the story developing week by week. Familiar characters, songs and language return in new situations, helping children build confidence through repetition while remaining excited about what happens next.

Who Is the Class For?

• Children aged 4–7
• Mandarin beginners are very welcome
• Suitable for children with different levels of spoken Mandarin
• No previous drama or performance experience is required
• Particularly suitable for children who learn best through movement, music and imaginative play

Children can participate at their own level—through an action, a sound, a word, a short phrase or a speaking role. No child will be pressured to perform alone.
