Information & FAQ
In-short what actually happens in the camps?
The main objective is to improve the children’s Mandarin level through structured lessons and fun, exciting themed activities. In the camp, IMMERSION is the key, the children are immersed in Mandarin, children with different levels benefit their part, and it’s proven to be extremely effective. Within a week, children demonstrate significant improvement on their listening, speaking, reading and writing.
Does my child need to have a foundation in Mandarin?
Because the camp is conducted in Mandarin, it is best for children to have some knowledge of Mandarin. But don’t worry if your child is new to Mandarin! Our bilingual instructors will provide caring assistance to prevent children from being timid and frustrated, they will guide and encourage instead of direct translation, so that children of different Mandarin levels can fully participate in the camp.

My child loved it!!Posted on Google JO zhouTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My 5 year old son attended 2 weeks classes at the Chinese summer camp. In the beginning, I was not sure whether my son would like it or not. It was impressively that he wanted to go there every day. He enjoyed the activities and learning with the teachers. He picked up some Chinese speaking there and more interested in speaking them to me. Besides, he enjoyed making the dumplings, pancakes and spring rolls. He then requested to order them at restaurants and really enjoyed eating them. The teachers are very patient and caring. Would take my son there again for more holiday classes.Posted on Google E. My 8 year old daughter is truly enjoying the Mandarin classes with LCA and is happy to attend every week. The teacher, Lina, is very friendly and charismatic. I particularly like the fact that young kids learn through play, singing and games, and stay physically active during the lessons.Posted on Google Helen LuongTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Signed my 4 year old for holiday camp. Very worried that he wouldn’t like it as he was starting from scratch. He loved the classes from day 1. So great to see the confidence building week by week. Getting WhatsApp videos was a great way of seeing parts of his day. Would highly recommend the camp.Posted on Google Yvonne KuanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My daughter joined this week’s camp, and she absolutely loved it. She keeps saying she wants to come back again next week! She learned so many new things, and she’s even been singing Junzi Yao at home. It makes me so happy to see how much she’s enjoying it. Thank you so much, Maggie and Sheryl, for your wonderful care and teaching!Posted on Google K WTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We attend the Saturday classes and holiday clubs. Activities are varied and fun, teachers are super caring and importantly, speak to the children in mandarin. My son who usually struggles with new environments loved it from the start!
