How are children kept safe and supported during the trip?

Safety sits at the very heart of everything we do. Our team receives safeguarding training in the UK and works alongside trusted partners in Chengdu, including leading hospitals. For every group of 10 children, three members of staff will accompany them throughout all activities. Each child receives a watch with mobile and GPS capability for added peace of mind, whilst our attentive staff and dedicated concierge look after every last detail.

What happens if medical care is needed?

We have close connections with Yancheng’s top hospitals to provide immediate, high-quality care if needed. Medical supplies are available throughout the camp, and our trained staff are on hand to respond swiftly and sensitively to any emergencies. Families are kept informed every step of the way, giving peace of mind that your child’s health is in expert hands.

Will students learn some Chinese during the trip?

Absolutely — Chinese language threads naturally through the activities, from simple words for pandas and calligraphy to theatrical phrases in Sichuan Opera. It adds a lovely layer of learning, connecting culture and memory in every experience. During transit, we also weave in language-based mini games, turning road journeys into fun learning opportunities.

How much free time will there be?

The itinerary strikes a balance between hands-on discovery and proper rest. Families have time to relax at the hotel, explore at their own pace, or simply enjoy quiet moments together — so the journey feels enriching rather than rushed. We know jet lag can affect energy levels, so we’ve designed the schedule with a mix of packed days and more relaxed ones. The hotel has excellent facilities for all ages, meaning everyone can unwind in their own way.

Do we need a visa for China, and how is this arranged?

Yes — a visa is required to travel to China given the length of this programme. Whilst families are responsible for the visa fees, Pandaville provides complimentary support throughout the entire process — from helping you fill in the forms through to submission — making this essential step as straightforward as possible.

Is travel insurance required?

Yes — all students are covered by comprehensive travel insurance provided by us. Families may also choose to purchase additional coverage if desired. Contact us for a full outline of what our insurance includes.

How do I book and make payment?

All bookings are made directly with Pandaville Ltd, a UK-based ABTOT member company regulated by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to offer flight-inclusive packages. Families can book with complete confidence knowing every journey is ATOL and ABTOT protected. Payments may be made in instalments, offering flexibility alongside full financial security.

Can dietary needs and allergies be accommodated?

Yes — dietary requirements are handled with the utmost care. From nut and shellfish allergies to vegetarian preferences, our chefs and partners ensure meals are both safe and delicious, so every member of the family can enjoy Sichuan’s celebrated cuisine with confidence.
