This Easter, let your child embark on an exciting cultural journey with LCA! Each week, we’ll dive into a different theme, filled with hands-on activities and immersive experiences designed to bring Chinese art, food, and traditional medicine to life.
🎨 Week 1 (March 31 – April 4, Kensington Only): Little Artists: Chinese Art 小艺术家：中华艺术
Children will explore the rich traditions of Chinese art and express their creativity through:
✨ Tie-Dyeing (扎染) – Discover the beauty of traditional Chinese fabric dyeing and create unique patterns.
🖌 Calligraphy & Ink Painting (书法 & 国画) – Learn to write Chinese characters with a brush and paint elegant watercolors.
🎨 Block Printing (拓印) – Experience ancient Chinese printing techniques and make stunning artistic prints.
🥟 Week 2 (April 7 – 11): Little Chefs: Chinese Cuisine* 小厨师：中华美食
Budding chefs will step into the kitchen and learn to make delicious traditional Chinese dishes, including:
🍜 Handmade Noodles & Dumplings (手擀面 & 饺子) – Knead, roll, and shape these classic dishes from scratch.
🍡 Tanghulu (糖葫芦) – Create this famous Chinese candied fruit snack, crispy and sweet!
🌯 Spring Rolls (春卷) – Master the art of wrapping crispy, golden spring rolls.
*All food will be freshly prepared on the day but will be taken home to cook and eat to avoid potential allergy risks.
🌿 Week 3 (April 14 – 17): Little Herbalists: Chinese Medicine 小药师：中华草药
Step into the world of traditional Chinese medicine and uncover its fascinating secrets:
🌱 Herb Discovery & Pharmacy Experience (草药认知 & 抓药体验) – Identify and mix traditional Chinese herbs, just like a real herbalist!
🧘♂️ Baduanjin (八段锦) – Learn this ancient Chinese qigong exercise to promote health and relaxation.
🍵 Herbal Sachet Making (中药香囊制作) – Craft a fragrant herbal sachet using natural Chinese medicinal ingredients.

Look no further if you want your child to improve Mandarin quickly in a safe and fun environment! The objective of this Immersion programme is for students to improve their Mandarin through fun activities. As well as structured Mandarin classes, campers will be fully immersed in Mandarin and develop their Mandarin through weekly themed indoor and outdoor activities such as Art, Science, Calligraphy, Drama and Sports. All classes are led by specialist qualified teachers.
